I bought a Browning xbolt medalion from Songys sproting good in Houma LA aprx 3 months ago i tryed to regerster to get the promotion money or what ever it was it but kept saying (email invalid) But i have been trying to get this rifle S/N JPO234BYX3354 I had a burrus scope on it. Could not get any good grouping.
It would shoot 3 good rounds then be all over the target. I mean so bad i would completly miss a 14 inch squire target at 200 yards went back to 100 yards way off. Thought a bad scope So i put a cross fire 2- a 3x9x50 scope. I went to range agin yesterday12/11/23 after total of 6 boxes of prime ammo same thing get good groups then it goes to *** I am not no run of the mill shooter i was a sniper in Marines so i know what i am doing.
I shot from a gun rest a sled and off hand all same thing. I have put aprox 350 dollars worth of ammo thru this rifle and still it will not keep good groups. So what is the problem. I thought Browning was good rifles.
Going back to range thursday really not happy with rifle so far. Spent a lot of money on rifle /scopes and ammo.
It is a 308. Any suggestions.

Verified Reviewer |Resolved: Problem with Opening Medallion Series Browning Safe
[I first sent the email below through your contact-form a week and have gotten no acknowledgment or response. Will you kindly respond in some form that you have received this because I would really like your help to resolve my Browning Safe problem.
Thank You, Jeff]
Hello, I have a Browning Pro-Steel Safe I purchased Richland Shooters, Richland, PA 17087, in the mid-2000's. It is a Medallion series with battery-operated electronic keypad combo. entry. The outside dimensions are: H=60", W=~40", D=~28".
I left the door of the safe closed but unlocked for probably a little longer than a year (I live alone), and then went and locked it a little over a month or so ago. When I now enter my combination to unlock it (6-digits and #), its' LED blinks red about 7-8 times and does not unlock (also no click sound).
My questions to you are: does the set combination get nullified after a certain period of time when the safe is unlocked? What can I do to be able to re-open the safe?
(It's certainly not the battery since it beeps with the keypad entry and the LED blinks as described.) Is there an Authorized Browning Agent/Locksmith in my area (zip 19506) whom I can contact for service to my home for re-entry into the safe? Thanks for your time and help, it's certainly quite important.
User's recommendation: The contact form on the Browning website has problems (at least for me) and never delivered an email to them. THey need some website fixes to correct the problem. However, when I used PissedConsumer to forward the email, I got a response the next day. It was courteous and informative, and while I still have an unresolved issue, I have steps I can take. If you have a problem with a Browning Pro-Steel safe, email them directly at support@***.us or helpdesk@***.com. (Thye should make the direct email contact info on their website.) I thank PissedConsumer for mediating the contact issue!; it certainly worked. All the Best, Jeff

Verified ReviewerBrowning probably won't be around much longer... relatively speaking...
Terrible Customer Service, defective design, lack of support and non-existent warranty... such was my experience.
It wasn't the first Browning firearm I've own, but it most certainly is the last.
Paid the premium VIP membership fee charged for their 1911 .380 Black Label Medallion Pro. I thought it was going to be the perfect CCW as I love 1911s, the .380 is a decent round and the comfort/concealability is fantastic. (Plus it's just a beautiful art-piece of a firearm to look at in my opinion.)
During and after the 'break-in' period I had multiple failure to feed issues. I found deep scratching in the casing and tracked the problem to what it usually is, the magazine.
The magazines already felt cheap and the follower looked like a bent bottlecap, but I figured the engineers would know more than me and I was just expecting too much for this very expensive .380. Browning states they "spent 2 years in development" to convert the .22 model into the .380 and they've been selling these for quite a few years. With the .22 version coming out in 2011 and the .380 version in 2014. Over these past 8-9 years for the .380, the went from charging $500 to now over $1000 for the same pistol with no change in the design...
they've done lost their minds...
Unfortunately, the follower allows the bullets to dip flat before they are pushed into the chamber. This causes the bullet to faceplant it's nose into the front of the magazine. When the slide is able to overcome this resistance and push the round into the chamber, the bullet and casing get gouged by that same front-edge of the magazine. Most of the time however the bullet would get stuck halfway out the magazine before reaching the feed ramp, pinched in place by the slide, as shown in the pictures of the damaged caused by this defective design.
I spoke with a few gunsmiths that confirmed the terrible design and I went to the store to try out brand-new mags which had the same problem.
It's a simple fix with an anti-tilt follower but Browning couldn't be bothered to spend literally a few cents more averaged per magazine to make a better designed plastic molded follower.
When I reached out to Browning, customer service was apathetic. I asked about the approximate turn-around time as I was seeing other people that have been sending in their firearms only to wait 5x to 6x months; Which is completely unacceptable for any reason. They wouldn't respond to my concerns and simply told me, we won't know till we get it. So I have to spend $75 to ship a firearm I've had barely over a year for a problem that was completely and utterly a fault of the magazines and not the pistol with no ETA or at least pacifying response that 5x to 6x months isn't the average and you should receive your firearm back much sooner.
I proceeded to sell my firearm to someone who accepted the problem with the magazines, at a discount of course, and asked them to cancel my ticket.
It's been two weeks and they haven't even responded to my cancellation request.
If you like Browning firearms, like I used to, please feel free to purchase one. Just understand that they don't offer a stated warranty, they just say "trust us, we'll still take care of you" but then don't and can't be bothered to address any concerns or respond to their own emails.
Needless to say I bought a better pistol from a Company that actually takes care of their customers, provides a lifetime warranty and even had a sale to boot.
Decided to pickup a Walther PDP Compact since I tried one out at the range and fell in love with it.
Browning isn't the company they used to be. They've gutted their repair facilities and customer service reps and no longer has the pride in their products from days of old.
-List of ammunition used, which all were affected.
1.) Federal American Eagle (Ball Ammo)
2.) Winchester Target (Flat-nose Ball Ammo)
3.) Remington UMC (Ball Ammo)
4.) Monarch (Ball Ammo)
5.) Hornady Critical Defense (JHP)
The Hornady Critical Defense was originally the only ammo that didn't have this issue, until roughly 500x rounds, until even it couldn't make up for the defective design and implementation.
- Had potential
- Looked beautiful
- Could have been perfect
- Terrible design that could have been resolved years ago
- No parts list for the 1911 380 and unable to purchase parts
- Lackluster support and no stated warranty
Preferred solution: I'd love for the company to fix their products, offer a stated warranty like everyone else, and provide even the slightest amount of customer care. I'd love the opportunity to own this firearm with the flaws corrected.
User's recommendation: Avoid like the plague.

Very Disappointed
Ive purchased and hunted with Browning firearms for 40 + years. I own many of them.
Great products, many memorable hunting trips carrying a Browning firearm.
Sorry to say a now have experienced my first nightmare with Browning arms. I purchased a A5 ultimate shot gun this past June. Brought it home to unfortunately discover a scratch in the butt stock. I returned the gun to the place of purchase.
The dealer immediately contacted Browning. The Representative claimed the gun needed to be returned to be evaluated and repaired.
That was this past June. It is now October 6 and still no Shotgun. Ive reached out in good faith 3 different times to check on progress with no answer on the progress of the gun or when I can expect it back.
I stand in awe how a gun manufacturer can produce such a quality firearm and exercise and operate such a poor customer service.
I wonder how John Browning himself would react to such poor integrity? I believe John Browning would turn over in his grave if he knew the passion he birthed was run so poorly as Browning arms is.
